Biographical Note

These prints, transferred in 2010 from the College's Visual Communications unit (a.k.a. Print Shop), reflect the work of various artists working for publicity purposes mostly from the 1980s and 1990s, but going back to the 1920s.

The institution's charter by the state dates back to 1857; the term Lake Forest College (vs. LF University Collegiate Department) dates from 1888; the term began to be used on its own without reference to the University in 1903.
