Name: Hendrickson, Addie Windle (ca. 1874-1952)
Variant Name: Hendrickson, Mrs. Ira R.; Mrs. Addie Hendrickson

Historical Note:

Addie Windle married Ira R. Henderickson in shortly after he completed his two-year course at Mount Morris College, 1896.  She was a graduate of the College too, in Art, and she continued her studies at the Zanerian Art School, Columbus, Ohio; the Snow-Froelich Art School, New York; and the Art Institute, Chicago (in the studios of prominent artists).  She was head of the Art Department, Mount Morris College, from 1910 to 1927, an accomplished artist who attracted many students.  Later she displayed her paintings and decorated china, classes for which were a large draw to the College from local women.

When her spouse retired from the Mount Morris high school in 1938, they went to live in Round Lake, MN, for five years, then back to Mount Morris, and then to Elgin, IL, in 1952, the year of her death.
