Historical Note:

Cameron Brown grew up on Chicago's North Shore, in Glencoe, attended the U. of Illinois (grad. 1937), and followed his father into the insturance and re-insurance business. His travels in ernest began in World War II, and after the war married and had a family, living in lake Forest.  In 1961 he remarried, to Jean McGrew Werlein Dymond and they combined their families of Werlein, Dymond, and Brown children (former spouse Angie), and added two more of their own.  By the 1980s they were traveling a good deal of the time, though Cam had visited France and the UK in the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s (UK in the 2000s also).
