Name: Crosby, William S., Jr.

Historical Note: William S. Crosby, Jr. was a railfan and retired (1887) Winnetka, IL, jeweler and watchmaker (Crosby's) who lived in Glencoe, IL, when he died December 9, 2000.  He was the son of Chicago architect William W. Crosby, and sister of Marianne Crosby, with whom he shared the Glencoe home of his parents.  In his obituary Marianne stated that Bill Crosby had "loved railroads from the time he was a little boy."  He was an active member of the Illinois Railroad Musuem, Union, IL.
