Historical Note: Dr. Barbara Olin Taylor earned a B.A. from Smith College, a M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, and her Ph.D from Northwestern University. She then turned her attention to transferring from the business environment/for-profit sector to the educational field the newer-developed methodologies such as transactional analysis , action research , organizational development and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).  Working with established figures and their works in the educational field, especially the late Ronald R. Edmonds (1935-1983), she (1) pioneered in collaboration with others the formulation of the Effective School Process (SM), (2) oversaw and gained support for the development of several modules to be employed in schools’ assisted self-studies, and (3) promoted the methodologies to many public and private consitutencies.  The Effective School Process has been implemented in several good-sized school systems across the U.S.  Dr. Taylor has written articles, co-authored books, and made numerous presentations to constituent groups.
